The “Welcome Back” Series of skateboards will be available this coming Saturday at Concepts Of Cambridge. This project has been in the works for the last year and it is very satisfying to see it come to fruition. Jeff “Spungie” Ferrara and Scott Howe of Concepts conceptualized and executed a great series photo renditions of all four of the major train lines that run through the greater Boston area. The graphics were then printed on the same skateboard shapes that RAW has been using since 2006.
In terms of availability, the project will be available at Concepts in sets of four or individually. The Red Line was pressed in sizes 7.500, 7.750 and 8.000, the Orange Line was pressed in sizes 7.625 and 8.000, the Green Line was pressed in sizes 7.500, 7.750 and 8.000 and the Blue Line was pressed in sizes 7.625 and 7.880. All of the skateboards have an ebony top stain with a top graphic in the same color as the corresponding train line.
