When we started RAW almost five years ago, John Wisdom was one of the first people we wanted to work with through our new brand. Although we did not wish to establish an official “team” structure, we were well aware of the fact that we could help a select group of young skateboarders to gain more exposure of their skateboarding through our company. Prior to 2006, the way we had seen John ride a skateboard was something we admired, so we thought it fitting to be affiliated with it. We were happy that he wanted to be affiliated with our project. On top of his skateboarding, John’s approach to being a skateboarder was equally as admirable, and nothing has changed since that time.

John Wisdom is a perfectionist. He works very hard to do tricks on a skateboard the way he wants to do them. He doesn’t settle on something he’s not completely satisfied with and that is the main reason he constantly makes progress. Sessions with him over the past five years have proven this time and again. This video short, which was compiled and edited by Jason Jenkins, is a great example of John’s skateboarding for those who have not had the opportunity to see him skate in person.
